Spring Fields Baby Blanket – Free Crochet Pattern

This has been a long time coming!

But I’m finally ready to release the Spring Fields Baby Blanket pattern. Just in time for… err… Autumn. BUT, I’m originally from New Zealand and that’s in the southern hemisphere, so really it’s perfect timing

Either way, this blanket isn’t just for Spring. Caron Cakes is quite a warm yarn due to its 20% wool content, so it’s the perfect blanket for the colder months too. If you want to make it a lighter, cooler blanket, feel free to use a different yarn!

The flowers on this pattern have been heavily inspired by the amazing Sophie’s Universe pattern by Dedri Uys from Look At What I Made. So I would like to give her a special design credit for allowing me to use a modified version of her flower. She’s a wonderful designer and has some amazing patterns coming out, so if you haven’t already, head along to check out her blog!

It’s meant a lot of work writing, and then rewriting the pattern, and then for my lovely testers to give it a whirl and let me know what they think. They have improved the pattern immeasurably, so Zahra, Julia and Caroline: thank you!

You can read more about the inspiration of the design here.

And if you want to make your own Spring Fields Baby Blanket, you can download the eBook here

Add the pattern to your Ravelry queue here.

Check out the blanket on Instagram and Facebook

I hope you enjoy making this pattern. If you have any questions or comments, do let me know!

If you use Instagram or Facebook, please do tag me in pictures of your creations, and use the hashtag #springfieldsblanket

Until then…

Katie

I wanted to take a moment to thank and commend you for a beautifully written pattern. Excellent work. Thank you for offering this beautiful and unique blanket for free 🙂
